On Sept. 9, 2024, at 10:59 a.m., St. Paul RCMP received a report of a serious collision involving a road grader and a pedestrian on the Main road near the community hall on Goodfish Lake First Nation. Upon arrival, emergency crew observed that the pedestrian was deceased. The pedestrian has been identified as a 34-year-old Goodfish Lake resident. Police remain on scene investigating.

Although early in the investigation, driver impairment has been ruled out as a contributing factor.

RCMP sends deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
