With heavy hearts, the family of Therese Simone Viel of Edmonton, Alberta, formerly of Mallaig, Alberta announces her peaceful passing, with family by her side, on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at the age of 94 years.

Therese will be forever remembered by her son: Rene Viel; daughters; Monique (Arthur) Amyotte, Louise Viel (Ron Haykowski), Yvonne Viel; grandchildren: Lucien (Christa) Viel, Nicole (Andre) Salloum, Leo (Crystal) Amyotte, Dominique (Rachelle) Amyotte, Stefan (Linda) Amyotte, Catherine Amyotte; cherished great grandchildren: Ava, Austin & Adrienne Viel, Larry, Kennedy, Gabrielle & Joshua Salloum, Evan & Avery Amyotte, Daniel & Celine Amyotte; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Therese was predeceased by her husband: Joseph Viel; parents: Honore & Eva Dallaire; granddaughter: Lina Viel-Dargis; brothers: René Dallaire, Paul Dallaire; sisters: Marguerite Martin, Germaine Dallaire, Yvette Mitchell, Madelaine Myrick, Angela Tessier; daughter-in-law: Liese Viel.

Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday, September  10, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. (Eulogy will begin at 10:50 a.m.) at St. Jean-de-Brebeuf Roman Catholic Church, Mallaig, Alberta with Father Paulson Kannanaikal officiating. Pallbearers: Dominique Amyotte, Lucien Viel, Stefan Amyotte, Léo Amyotte, Evan Amyotte, Daniel Amyotte.  Final Resting Place, St. Jean-de-Brebeuf Roman Catholic Cemetery, Mallaig, Alberta.
