Collision claims life of 78-year-old pedestrian

On June 14, 2024 Bonnyville RCMP were dispatched to a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian. Officers and EMS arrived on scene and the pedestrian, a 78-year-old female resident of Bonnyville, was transported to the hospital, where she was pronounced deceased. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and identified themselves to police.

The Alberta RCMP sends their thoughts to the family and friends of the deceased.

The investigation is ongoing and an update will be considered once more information is available.

The intersection of 50th Avenue and 46th Street is currently closed in Bonnyville.A motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian occurred shortly after 6:00pm on Friday night.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
