At 4:52 p.m. MDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm that is possibly producing a tornado. Damaging winds, large hail and locally intense rainfall are also possible. This severe thunderstorm that has the potential to produce a tornado is located 10 km east of Fort Saskatchewan and is moving east at 15 km/h.

In the Bonnyville-Cold Lake region, showers are expected Friday night with the chance of a thunderstorm.
