It is with profound love and sadness we announce that Rita Wowk of Beauvallon, Alberta passed away on May 30, 2024 at the age of 87 years. She will be forever remembered and missed by her daughter, Deb; sons, Todd (Lisa) & Miles (Melanie); grandchildren, Casadie, Tyler (Kaity), Jillayne (Geoff), Nicholas, MJ (Kara) & Makayla (Braiden); as well as great-grandchildren, Drew, Edie, & Corbin; sisters, Emilie Pautonnier, Emelia Heeks, Doris Greenfield, Anita (Norm) Kitz & Eleanor (Bill) McEwen; brother, Daniel (Tillie) de la Salle; sister-in-law, Anne Wowk; brother-in-law, Sherwin Lehman; as well as numerous nieces & nephews.

Rita was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Ed; parents, Henri & Josephine de la Salle; sisters, Theresa Arnold & Dorothy Lewis; brother-in-law, Larry Wowk & sisters-in-law, Jean (Tony) Langkow & Carol Lehman; countless friends & family members whom she missed dearly.

A Celebration of Rita’s Life will be held at the Myrnam Community Hall (formerly Elks Hall), Myrnam on Saturday, June 8 at 2:00 p.m.  Cremation has taken place.  Ed & Rita will be laid to rest together at a private family inurnment at Krasna Hora Cemetery, Beauvallon.
