The provincial government announced 0,000 in funding for a local senior’s group during this edition of Senior’s Week.
Age-Friendly Cold Lake will be the beneficiary of this investment, which will be used for home and community supports.
“Seniors want to stay in their own homes or home communities as they comfortably age, surrounded by friends and loved ones,” said Bonnyville-Cold Lake-St. Paul MLA Scott Cyr.
“That’s why I’m so pleased to see Alberta’s government, through Healthy Aging Alberta, investing $200,000 to expand community and home supports
for seniors in Bonnyville and Cold Lake.”
Alberta’s seniors population is now 790,000 and estimate suggest that by 2035, it will increase to more than one million.
