It was a day for showing off the bright young scientific minds in Cold Lake.
Last Thursday, Holy Cross Elementary School held their annual Science Fair, where their Grade 5 and 6 students show off projects and scored by judges from the community.
Mayor Craig Copeland said he was pleased to be invited to the event once again.
“Some of the fun job of being on council is you get invited to the science fairs. And so myself and Councillor Richardson were at the Science Fair at the Holy Cross School, and Lakeland Catholic School Division. Amazing, amazing work done by the Grade five and Grade six classes,” said Copeland on The Morning After.
“But I was with a new judge today. And so I’ve been known to be very high score. I was with a young pilot from 4 Wing just a brilliant person. And big shout out to him, his background is physics. So they teamed me up with a really smart guy. He knew his stuff. He is so passionate.
“The kids were great, some great experiments. You just you get blown away by how smart the young people are some of the experiments but there’s a lot of fun shout out to the school, the teacher did a great job organizing it and mean science fairs.”
