Smoky Lake RCMP lay charges for possession of stolen property
Two men are facing charges after Smoky Lake RCMP caught them attempting a break and enter.
On Monday, Dec. 18, at approximately 7:40 p.m. Smoky Lake RCMP responded to a call of a suspicious person at a rural property on Highway 28 and Range Road 130.
RCMP attended and located two males attempting to steal property from the residence, subsequently both were arrested. During a search, RCMP located numerous other stolen items in their possession.
As a result of the investigation, Ronald Vernon Scott (54) a resident of Onoway has been charged with:
- Possession of stolen property under $5,000
- Trespass at night
Trevor Wayne Skoro (50), a resident of Onoway has been charged with:
- Possession of stolen property under $5,000
- Trespass at night
- Fail to comply
Both were remanded in custody with their next court dates set for Jan. 25, 2024, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Fort Saskatchewan.
