Public input sought into local healthcare delivery in virtual call Nov. 29: AHS
Those interested in learning more about how healthcare is delivered in the region are invited to an open house at the end of November.
Alberta Health Services North Zone leadership is hosting a virtual conference on Wednesday, Nov. 29 from 5:00-8:00pm with the Lakeland Communities Health Advisory Council.
Residents who want to give feedback and input into local and regional health, hear how AHS makes their decisions from leadership, and learn more about the EMS services in the area, are welcome to be part of the Zoom call.
AHS says this feedback will be shared with local leaders to inform their decision-making.
“HACs play an important role in supporting the strategic direction of AHS by engaging members of their communities throughout Alberta in a respectful, transparent and accountable manner,” the press release states.
“Public participation is essential to improving the quality and accountability of health services. Working in partnership with AHS is an important way to ensure services are more responsive to the needs of those who use them.”
To be registered for the Zoom call, please email lakelandcommunities@ahs.ca with the subject line ‘Meeting’ for further details.
