Vegreville RCMP investigate fatal collision in 80-year-old woman’s death
A 80-year-old has died following a fatal motor vehicle collision on Monday.
Vegreville RCMP were dispatched to the scene on Highway 16 at Highway 36 at 6:10pm.
Police say they determined a SUV traveling southbound on Highway 36 failed to stop at the stop sign and collided with a westbound SUV.
The 80-year-old female passenger of the West-bound SUV was declared deceased at the scene. The driver of the westbound SUV was transported to Vegreville hospital with minor injuries.
Condolences have been wished to the family and friends of the deceased.
