Enrolment up 4% at Lakeland Catholic Schools
Assumption with the largest school increase in students.
More and more students are enrolled at Lakeland Catholic Schools.
The official enrolment numbers for the 2023-24 school year are in, seeing nearly a four per cent increase from the 2022-23 school year.
“Our official enrolment for this school year is 2,701 students in Kindergarten to Grade 12, as well as 139 Pre Kindergarten students for a total enrolment of 2,840,” said Superintendent Joe Arruda, in a press release last Thursday.
Assumption Jr/Sr High School has seen the most growth, with an increase of 88 students, for a total of 631.
Total enrolments for the 2023-24 school year:
- École Notre Dame Elementary – 340
- Dr. Bernard Brosseau – 313
- École Notre Dame High – 388
- Holy Cross Elementary – 399
- St. Dominic Elementary – 270
- Assumption Jr/Sr High – 631
- Holy Family – 106
- Light of Christ – 230
There are also five international students enrolled with Lakeland Catholic, and 19 PUF students. Of the 2,701 students, 617 are enrolled in French Immersion programming.
“These enrolments are a testament to the education and programming we offer our students and their families,” said Board Chair Mary Anne Penner.
