Vermilion RCMP responded to 219 calls for service during the month of August.

Of those, 131 were related to traffic/vehicle complaints, 37 were property crimes, 21 were traffic collisions, 29 were crimes against persons, and nine were suspicious persons or vehicles.

Of the property crimes, five were break and enters, one was related to fraud, and four were stolen vehicles.

During this period, Vermilion RCMP laid 41 charges including 31 criminal code and 10 provincial offences. Fifteen of the criminal charges were related to persons crimes, four were related to property crimes, six were related to firearms, and 5 were related to failing to comply with conditions/court.
