Lakeland Connect You've Been Connected!
St. Paul RCMP were called to a break in in progress at the Kings Motel. Upon arrival, members located a 51 year old male who appeared to have been stabbed numerous times. The victim was provided emergency medical treatment on scene by the RCMP and EMS and later transported by STARS to Edmonton for further medical treatment.
28 year old Shaquille Steinhauer of Saddle Lake First Nations and 34 year old Alex Buffalo of Wetaskiwin are facing five charges including:
- Aggravated assault
- Robbery with a weapon
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Breaking and entering
- Mischief under $5000.
Steinhauer was released from custody after a Judicial Interim Release hearing with the Court set for June 1st, 2023. Buffalo was released from custody after a Judicial Interim Release hearing with the Court set for June 8th, 2023.
