Bonnyville man pleads guilty to possession of child porn
A Bonnyville man has been convicted of charges relating to child pornography.
Andrew Misiak on Thursday, May 11 pled guilty of possession of child pornography at Bonnyville Provincial Court.
He was given a sentence of one year in jail and two years probation.
On July 18, 2022, ALERT’s Northern Alberta Internet Child Exploitation Unit along with the Bonnyville RCMP apprehended the then 56-year-old.
At that time, Misiak was also charged with transmitting child pornography.
That charge was withdrawn over the course of the trial.
