Bonnyville residents asked to take Housing and Service Needs Estimations survey

The Bonnyville and District FCSS and LFRN have put out a Housing and Service Needs Estimations survey and are calling out all Bonnyville residents to voice their concerns.

The survey opened on March 1, 2023, and will be closing shortly on March 31, 2023.

The purpose of this survey is to help the community gain a better understanding of the needs of residents and the services required to improve and enhance community well-being.

“We know how important it is for everyone in our community to have a chance to voice their opinions and this survey will give our residents an opportunity to inform future housing policies, practices, and funding for the Bonnyville community,” said Aleesha Cabay, Community Programmer for FCSS.

Responding to the survey will help to identify the types of services currently being accessed, which ones are currently seeing the most use, and what needs in the community are not being met.

“We have partnered with the Rural Development Network (RDN) to collect information from our local community members about their experiences with local services and housing supports,” said Cabay.

The questions regard current and past living situations, employment, and citizenship/immigration status.

“After the survey period is complete, the RDN will provide us with a report regarding which services are being accessed, which ones are currently seeing the most use, and the gaps in services that the community has highlighted they need but are not receiving. We look forward to receiving this report and sharing it with our community,” said Cabay.
