Canadiens to play Bandits; Ice vs Wheat Kings in NEAJBHL 1st round
The stage is set for the North Eastern Alberta Junior B postseason, as each team finished out their regular season schedule last weekend.
With a record of 23-6-2, the Vermilion Tigers finished top of the table by winning their last two games against the Vegreville Rangers and Cold Lake Ice.
The Tigers seized the top seed after the Wainwright Bisons lost to Lloydminster on Friday, and will play the Vegreville Rangers.
The Wainwright Bisons will draw against the 7th seeded Onion Border Lake Chiefs, who won three games this season.
The Cold Lake Ice will start on the road as a 6th seed vs the Killam Wheat Kings.
And the St. Paul Canadiens, who lost two of their last three games, finish as the 4th seed, and will start against the Lloyd Bandits.
Wainwright hosts Onion Lake for Game 1 on Wednesday.
Vermilion welcomes Vegreville for Game 1 on Thursday.
On Friday, St. Paul begins vs Lloydminster and Cold Lake heads to Killam.
