Vehicle thefts up during the holidays
There has been an increase in stolen vehicle in Bonnyville over the past week.
Bonnyville RCMP said on Thursday that in the past six days, seven vehicles have been reported stolen.
Two have been since been recovered.
“The RCMP cannot stress enough the importance of every vehicle owner taking the initiative to do their part in preventing vehicle theft,” they said in a statement on Thursday.
“Always lock your vehicle when not using it, never leave the keys inside the vehicle unattended, don’t keep a spare key in or attached to your vehicle and never leave valuables in plain sight that might tempt a thief. ”
