Patrols on a local First Nation lead to meth and weapons related charges last Friday.

Bonnyville RCMP said they were patrolling in Kehewin on August 12th just before 1:00pm when they spotted a man driving who was on conditions to remain in Edmonton.

Police initiated a stop and arrested the male for failing to comply, but a search during the arrest revealed a quantity of crystal methamphetamine and a prohibited firearm with ammunition, RCMP said.

Justin Moses, 41-years-old, is facing charges of failing to comply, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, possession of a firearm while prohibited, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

He was brought before a Justice of the Peace and remanded into custody.
