AHS mobile mammogram unit coming to local First Nations

The Alberta Health Services mobile mammogram unit will be traveling to several Lakeland First Nations and Metis communities this June.

This includes coming to Saddle Lake Cree Nation on June 2nd & 3rd, Kikino Metis Settlement on June 6th & 7th, Buffalo Lake Metis Settlement on June 8th & 9th, Kehewin Cree Nation on June 10th, Frog Lake First Nation on June 13th, Fishing Lake Metis Settlement on June 14th, Goodfish Lake First Nation on June 15th & 16th, Elizabeth Metis Settlement on June 17th, and Cold Lake First Nation on June 28th to 30th.

The Screen Test van will also be in Smoky Lake from June 2nd to 7th.

Mammograms are the best way to detect breast cancer in women.
