Some areas of the Lakeland are without power.
ATCO reported since roughly 11:30am a power outage in the areas of St. Lina, Mallaig, Glendon, Therien, Franchere, and Bonnyville Beach. ATCO crews are working safely and quickly to restore power, the provider says.
There are estimates that power could be back as soon as 4:00pm or as late as into the evening hours.
The cause appears to be stemming from a collision with a power pole in Franchere area.
