Cold Lake residents may notice more air traffic in the skies this week.
Squadrons from 4 Wing Cold Lake are conducting night flying training over the city starting today until Friday, April 29, the base said in a public service announcement on Monday morning.
4 Wing said the PSA is meant to be mindful of residents in the Lakeland community and this type of training is not intended to disrupt “valuable peace and quiet.”
“Night flying is an essential training requirement for our aircrew and ground crew. The ability to conduct night missions is vital to our operational capability,” the PSA said.
