Man with pocket full of meth in Bonnyville hides in business bathroom from police
The RCMP in Bonnyville has arrested a man after he hid from police with a pocket full of meth in a bathroom at a local business.
On February 1, at 11:15 p.m., a member of the Bonnyville RCMP came across a suspicious vehicle in a convenience store parking lot.
“As the member approached the vehicle, a 29-year-old male from Kehewin known to be on warrants was seen exiting the vehicle, entering the store, and attempting to hide in the bathroom,” S/Sgt. Parke from the Bonnyville RCMP said.
“The male was arrested for his outstanding Warrants and was found to have a substantial amount of meth on him, as well as identification that did not belong to him.”
He was additionally arrested and charged with
- Possession of Meth for the Purpose of Trafficking
- Obstruction
- Identity Theft
- Failing to Comply with an Undertaking
He was brought before a Justice of the Peace who set cash bail at $200 with a first appearance court date of March 1.
