Ceremony before Voyageurs game planned for Mark Froehler

Lac La Biche residents will have the chance to recognize a long-time hockey volunteer in the community.

Before puck drop between the Portage College Voyageurs and NAIT Ooks men’s hockey game on Friday night, a ceremony in honour of Mark Froehler is scheduled for 6:45pm.

Over the years, Froehler dedicated countless hours to all levels of hockey in the community and hockey fans are invited to honour his volunteerism.

The Voyageurs have played four ACAC games this regular season and are still searching for their first win. Meanwhile, the Ooks are undefeated.

The pregame ceremony begins at 6:45pm and the game starts at 7:00pm. Admission to the game is free, provided by Britton’s Independent Grocer.
