Hockey Alberta’s announcement of Provincials locations included a couple of Lakeland area communities on Friday.

The decision means Hockey Alberta is intending of having the first sets of Provincials in over two years.

For the first time, zone playdowns will not be used to determine the qualifying teams. Rather, participating teams for provincial championship tournaments will be determined through league playoffs.
