Cold Lake and Bonnyville RCMP remind drivers to follow the rules of the road associated to high risk intersections

The Cold Lake and Bonnyville RCMP wish to remind motorists of the importance of following the lane designations at the intersections at Highway 28 and Ardmore and Highway 28 and Fort Kent.

Each intersection has designated turning lanes identified by arrows, it is unsafe and illegal to proceed through the intersection in the turning lane.

The most recent accident in the area occurred on October 14.

The Cold Lake and Bonnyville RCMP have responded to numerous collisions and traffic complaints at both of the high risk intersections and will be conducting enhanced enforcement at those intersections this Fall.

Motorists are asked to pay extra attention to the rules of the road associated to high risk intersections.
