The Bonnyville Friendship Centre wishes to advise that the 4th annual Sisters in Spirit Vigil has been postponed becuase of the current COVID-19 restrictions.

The Bonnyville Friendship Centre invites you to join them at their 4th annual Sisters in Spirit Vigil.
The event will be held at the Bonnyville Centennial Centre Field House on Monday, October 4, at 7:00 p.m. Sisters in Spirit honours the memories of the more than 1,200 missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls in Canada.
“October 4, is a day when we honour the lives of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls and gender diverse people, support
grieving families, and create opportunities for healing,” The Bonnyville Friendship Centre stated. “The violence experienced by Indigenous
women, girls and gender diverse people in Canada is a national tragedy. United, we will demand action on an issue that impacts us all.”
The event will include keynote speaker April Eve Wiberg (Founder of Stolen Sisters and Brothers Awareness Movement), a candle lit vigil around the Tipi, Indigenous performers, special tributes and much more.
“All current AHS protocols and advisories will be adhered to for the success of the event and the health of our community. We hope you can join us,” The Bonnyville Friendship Centre concluded.
