Vermilion RCMP request public assistance to identify suspects in mischief to Clandonald Catholic Cemetery

The Mounties need your help to solve a careless act of disrespect and vandalism in a local Lakeland region cemetery.

According to police, on May 25, 2021, the Vermilion RCMP received a call that the Clandonald Catholic Cemetery had been vandalized sometime between May 21-25, 2021.

Cemetery management located 39 headstones pushed over, along with many other headstones disrupted. Some of the damaged headstones belong to deceased persons who no longer have family. The damages inflicted to those headstones will therefore only be able to be repaired with the donations that are sometimes received by the cemetery.
