LCSD Announces Chantel Axani As Deputy Superintendent

Lakeland Catholic School Division is pleased to announce the appointment of Chantel Axani to the position of Deputy Superintendent effective August 1, 2021. Chantel was born and raised in Cold Lake, Alberta. After graduating from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Education degree in 2006, she began her teaching career with Lakeland Catholic School Division (LCSD). She obtained a Master of Education in Curriculum, Teaching and Learning with a specialization in Assessment from the University of Calgary in 2012. Chantel has been part of the Lakeland Catholic family for 15 years; 9 of which she held the capacity of school administrator.

Throughout her time as administrator at Lakeland Catholic, Chantel has had the opportunity to develop and continually refine her leadership style, communication, and collaborative skill sets, which highlights the strength of her instructional and servant Leadership.

Chantel and her family are parishioners at St. Dominic Parish in Cold Lake where she is an active member. She has a variety of interests including fitness, biking, reading, and spending time with family and friends. Chantel’s son Cohen, attends Lakeland Catholic School in the French Immersion Program and keeps his family very busy with his love of hockey and sports.

 

Superintendent Arruda believes that incoming Superintendent Pamela Guilbault and Deputy Superintendent Chantel Axani will make an exceptional team who will serve the students, parents and staff of the Lakeland Catholic community in excellence to ensure their academic, spiritual, emotional, and intellectual needs are met, and enact our mission with Christ as our model and children as our focus.
