Vermilion Chamber begins new Easter Egg Hunt

The Vermilion & District Chamber of Commerce has initiated an Easter Egg Hunt from March 30-April 10.

Approximately 200 eggs will be hidden in each community – Vermilion, Mannville, and Kitscoty.

“I just love Easter because it’s finally kind of warm again, and for my family it was big,” said Chamber Office Manager, Leanne Martin.

“Good memories encourage families who are stuck at home together to have something fun to do – we’re going to have fun.”

Eggs will be hidden in open, public spaces and filled with candy, coupons, gift certificates, and Chamber Cash. Board members will be helping to stuff the eggs and additional volunteers will help hide them.

Eggs will be hidden by 11:00am on each of the following communities – in Vermilion April 2, in Mannville April 3, and in Kitscoty April 4.

The event is free and anyone can take part, and participants will be able to find clues on TikTok @vermilionalbertachamber.

Martin said one business even signed up to do the hunt within their store. The following week, Shopper’s Drug Mart will be hiding an item in their store valued at $50 or more. If you find the item, it will be free for you.

She plans to build up the event in the future and said, “Hopefully it will grow over the coming years, until we are hunting for eggs all over the County of Vermilion River.”
