Two charged with weapons offenses after search warrant

Two men from Saddle Lake are in custody after police searched a home on Mar. 13.

According to a media release from the St. Paul RCMP, police were called to the Saddle Lake residence because two men with a gun were searching for a third, who was not harmed.

Police arrested the men without incident and then executed a search warrant at a different address in connection with the arrest.

25-year old Francis Primeau is charged with a number of weapons offenses including possessing a firearm without a license and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

48-year old Tyson Hunter is charged with failure to comply with release conditions, unsafe storage of a firearm, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Both men also have other Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act charges in relation to the incident. They remain in custody and will appear in St. Paul Provincial Court Mar. 18.
