School divisions announce bus cancellations due to extreme cold

Many school buses will not run Monday morning due to extremely cold temperatures.

All buses in the Northern Lights, Lakeland Catholic, St. Paul Education, and East Central Francophone school divisions have been cancelled for Monday, February 8. Those schools remain open.

Classes are cancelled tomorrow at Northern Lights Public Schools.

Some bus lines are not running for Buffalo Trail Public Schools in the Vermilion-area.

Environment Canada continues to issue an extreme cold warning as of Sunday afternoon. The prolonged cold snap is expected to persist through the coming week with wind chills in the minus 40s.
