Vermilion Co-op Food Store announces one positive COVID case
Yesterday, Cornerstone Co-op announced one of their bakery staff having a positive COVID-19 test result. Their update verified that the person who tested positive had been isolating at home since before they were even tested.
“The employee has not worked a shift for several days, and there was a deep clean performed in the department last night as a precautionary measure,” said Graham Getz, general manager.
“We continue to work with AHS contact tracers to communicate with any team members who may have been in close contact.”
Cornerstone said at the time that in all six communities that they serve, that all but two of their affected team members had recovered and gone back to work. They also took the opportunity to thank everyone for the healing thoughts and well wishes they received.
“We are committed to provide essential goods during the COVID-19 pandemic, while working to protect the health and safety of our members, customers and team,” said Getz.
“Thank you to our customers for their sustained mask integrity to limit exposure and contamination to team members and other customers. Please stay diligent and keep well.”
