Kitscoty RCMP seek video of armed robbery

Kitscoty RCMP are looking for dash cam footage from anyone who was traveling in the County of Vermilion River near the intersection of Township Rd. 494 and Range Rd. 20 between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Dec. 28.

According to a release, RCMP received a complaint of a carjacking at approximately 9 p.m. Monday night.

Police say a man in a red winter coat and a face covering blocked the highway, causing the victim to stop their vehicle. The man pointed a gun at the two people inside the car before forcing them out and leaving with the vehicle.

The car is a grey 2019 Kia Soul with the Saskatchewan license plate 291LZZ.
