Development permits approved for cannabis stores in St. Paul
The Municipal Planning Commission approved development permits for two cannabis stores on Oct. 22.
According to Aline Brosseau, the Development Officer for the Town of St. Paul, if no appeals to the decision are filed before the Nov. 17 deadline, the permits would be issued on Nov. 18.
If any appeals to the developments are filed, the appeal would need to be heard by the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board and the board would make a decision.
The cannabis stores would be located at 4225 – 50 Ave and 5026 – 50 Ave. The two permits are for different companies intending to open cannabis stores.
According to Brosseau, appeals must be submitted in writing along with a $500 fee to the Secretary of the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (SDAB) Box 1480, St. Paul, Alberta, T0A 3A0 by 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 17.
