Halloween maze sets up for this weekend in Derwent
Hardcastle’s Store will be hosting a Fall into Hallow event featuring a Halloween themed maze and art gallery in Derwent this Saturday.
The outdoor event was created as a way to provide a one-stop-shop for local residents while they stay socially distanced.
“It’s really community dependent, and a lot of our rural residents are looking forward to a spooky, fun-filled evening,” said owner, Gladys Hardcastle.
Waivers will have to be signed, and social distancing will be in effect. She encouraged the community to participate and challenges other communities to offer a similar COIVID-19 safe option for families.
Hardcastle’s Store is accepting treats and decoration donations in advance and will be providing candy at the end of the maze. Following the maze, participants will have the opportunity to view local artwork.
“I want to extend such a huge thank you to the community for their involvement, as well as donations and support, and we hope everyone has a safe and happy Halloween,” said Hardcastle.
Fall into Hallow will take place on October 31 from 1:00pm – 8:00pm.
