Total COVID cases up to 11 in Saddle Lake
Saddle Lake Cree Nation is reporting the total cases of COVID within the community is up to 11 on Wednesday night.
This is an increase of three new cases in the past 24 hours.
Saddle Lake put a lockdown in place Sept. 7 as the first infection was reported to band officials two days prior.
Since then, 745 swabs have been completed on the nation with 19 tests completed Wednesday.

Federal doctors have been assisting local health care workers and emergency management personnel.
Wednesday saw the first new positive infection since Sunday.
In surrounding communities, there are five active cases in the M.D. of Bonnyville area shown on the Alberta Government’s virus data map, with 10 recoveries.
The Cold Lake area has one active case with five recoveries.
