Bonnyville Municipal Library reopens to the public

The Bonnyville Municipal Library will be open to the public once more, albeit in a limited capacity, come July 27th.

It’s regular hours will be from 9 am to 8 pm Mondays through Thursdays — it will close at 5 pm for Fridays, while it will be open on Saturdays from 11 am to 5 pm starting in September. It will be closed on Sundays and for holidays.

The library had partially opened in June with curbside pickups, which will continue to be available until further notice.

Anyone planning to head to the library should be prepared to wait, as there will be a strict limit on the allowed number of occupants inside. The public is also encouraged to wear a mask or some other kind of face covering while inside the library, to obey outlined directional paths, and to stay home if the possess a persistent cough.

Computers will be available for use, and will be spaced six feet apart to accommodate physical distancing requirements.

The library’s book drop-off have also reopened, and all materials returned to the library will be quarantined before returning to the shelves, however there will be no overtime incurred by an item’s time spent in quarantine.
