Bonnyville area with seven COVID-19 cases, Cold Lake area with three on Sunday

There have now been seven total cases of COVID-19 identified in the Bonnyville area and three cases in the Cold Lake area on Sunday, the province’s virus map shows.

This a third straight day with a positive coronavirus test in the Bonnyville area and Cold Lake’s first since last Saturday, March 28.

There remains two confirmed cases in the Vermilion River County area.

Sixty-new cases were confirmed on Sunday bringing Alberta’s total to 1250.

Three people have died from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, 23 total in the province.

One was a man in the North Zone who was over 100.

There have been 279 recoveries from the virus and just under 700 tests were processed in the last day.

Eighty-four people are hospitalized and 26 are in intensive care.

Press conferences will resume Monday afternoon to report the new numbers.

  • Edmonton Zone: 309 cases
  • North Zone: 77 cases
  • Central Zone: 67 cases
  • South Zone: 20 cases
  • Unknown: three cases

The green area is the North Zone.
