Environment Canada predicts 10-15 cm snow dump overnight
Heavy snow is in the forecast for the Lakeland region on Monday night.
The Bonnyville, Cold Lake, St. Paul and Lac La Biche region could see 10-15 cm of snow by Tuesday morning.
Environment Canada is forecasting temperatures to be below seasonal average this week hovering around -10 degrees.
A moisture-rich weather system will move across the province tonight, Environment Canada said.
It is likely that this storm will produce significant snowfall over much of east-central Alberta.
At this time, the greatest confidence in the highest accumulations is for areas east of the city of Edmonton.
However, there remains a moderate likelihood of at least 10 cm falling elsewhere.
The snow is believed to begin Monday evening and continue overnight into Tuesday.
