Home invasion suspects caught

On November 5th 2019, the Elk Point RCMP responded to a home invasion in Fishing Lake Metis Settlement. The suspects entered the home with a firearm and demanded money.  The suspects left the residence after discharging the firearm inside the house, thankfully no one was hurt.

Two suspects were wanted in connection to this incident, Sara Mcgillis and Marlon Lacombe. They have been charged with Robbery with a firearm, multiple firearm offences and failure to comply with their conditions.

Following the home invasion, both suspects’ whereabouts were not known to the police and they were considered wanted individuals.

RCMP have advised that both individuals have been located and arrested.

Sara Mcgillis (21) has been remanded into custody after being located yesterday on her outstanding warrants.

She will be appearing in St. Paul Provincial Court on Jan. 30, 2020.

It is unknown at this time whether the second suspect, Marlon Lacombe, has been charged. The police have advised that he is no longer wanted.
