Cold Lake RCMP investigates collision requiring STARS
A Kehewin teen is facing charges after a collision resulted in major injuries for two people that required STARS Air Ambulance.
On September 29 at approximately 11:30am, Cold Lake RCMP and Emergency Services were dispatched to a report of a one vehicle collision at the intersection of Township Road 602 and Range Road 430A.
The driver of the truck and two occupants had been involved in the collision.
The two passengers were pinned inside the vehicle with serious injuries.
The passengers were extracted from the vehicle and airlifted by STARS Air Ambulance to an Edmonton area hospital.
Nineteen-year-old Whisper Smith of Kehewin Cree Nation has been charged with Impaired Operation Causing Bodily Harm, as well as several charges in relation to breaching court ordered conditions.
Smith is to appear in Cold Lake Provincial court on October 16 at 10:00am.
