Glendon by-election date for vacant councillor position set

Glendon residents will fill the vacant councillor position at the polls Sept. 17.

The Village had the date for the upcoming by-election confirmed by the province earlier this week.

Roger Belknap, Randy Harrop, and Edward Kryzanowski are vying for the councillor spot after the position became vacant when former councillor Scott Lundgren passed away in June.

Belknap, Harrop, and Kryzanowski were nominated on July 29.

Currently, the council has Mayor Laura Papirny and councillor Nicholas Werstiuk.

This is the second by-election of the term.

On Oct. 22, Werstiuk was elected to council after Nancy Pelletier resigned.
