Three Edmonton area males charged after break-in attempt

Bonnyville RCMP has charged three males from the Edmonton area after an attempted break and enter.

The suspects were arrested in the morning on May 23 after an attempted break-in at 5001 55 Ave.

Forty-seven-year-old Jason Byers from Fort Saskatchewan, 35-year-old David Callender from Sherwood Park and 35-year-old Derek Lemke from Edmonton face charges of possession of stolen property over $5000, adult resist of a police officer, adult break and enter with intent, adult possession of methamphetamine, (crystal meth), and adult possession of break-in instruments.

One suspect was on an outstanding Form 21 warrant with an unpaid fine.

During the investigation, the vehicle and license plate was found to be stolen.

None of the suspects were remanded on these charges. One was transported on outstanding warrants.

They are due in court on July 2 in Bonnyville.
