Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority reminds residents that in addition to resetting clocks ahead one hour when switching to daylight savings time, to also check the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.

Keep your family safe, check your smoke and carbon monoxide detector batteries regularly. Replace your smoke and carbon monoxide detector after 10 years of service or when their serviceability is questionable.
