Skiing participants take home some hardware at the Alberta 55 Plus Winter Games last weekend.

Over 800 seniors descended on Cold Lake last weekend to compete in the Alberta 55 Plus Winter Games.

The experienced field participated in 12 activities including: hockey, curling, pickleball, bowling, darts, crafts and creative writing, cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, euchre, bridge, scrabble, and snooker.

Winners in each field will advance to the National games next year.
