On Jan. 29, 2019 at approximately 9:00 a.m., Cold Lake RCMP responded to reports of gun fire in the English Bay area of Cold Lake First Nations.

The deceased victim located at the residence has been identified as Darren Reid (49) of Cold Lake First Nations. An autopsy was completed at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and the manner of death has been deemed a homicide.

The RCMP Major Crime Unit with assistance from Cold Lake RCMP continue to investigate and would like to speak with anyone that may have been in the English Bay area between 1:00 – 4:00 a.m., on Jan 29, 2019.

An update will be provided if more information becomes available.
