Bonnyville man charged with ten offenses after snowmobile theft

Bonnyville RCMP have arrested a 20-year-old male from Bonnyville after he was found stealing a snowmobile from a residence.

The arrest was made with the help of the Eastern Alberta Crime Reduction Unit (EADCRU).

As RCMP investigated, they laid an additional ten charges on Troy “TJ” Atkinson including theft, drug, and weapons-related offenses.

Atkinson is charged with theft of a truck, (3x) possession of property obtained through crime over $5000, mischief, possession of methamphetamine, unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon.

Background investigation led to his arrest.

He was remanded into custody.

He appeared in court yesterday.
