Community Policing Committee

 

Applications are currently being accepted from residents of the Town of Bonnyville for the COMMUNITY POLICING COMMITTEE

 

The Community Policing Committee meets the first Monday of every month, and is mandated to:

 

  1. Act as a liaison between the community and the RCMP
  2. Discuss current concerns and issues in the community
  3. To focus on the preventative aspect of policing, particularly in the area of juvenile crime
  4. Ensure a high profile of the RCMP in the

 

Appointments to this Committee are initially made for a term of 1 – 3 years.

 

The deadline for interested individuals to apply is Friday October 12, 2018 at 12:00 noon. Please send a brief resume of experience and interests to the undersigned:

Subdivision & Development Appeal Board

 

Applications are currently being accepted from residents of the Town of Bonnyville for the SUBDIVISION AND DEVELOPMENT APPEAL BOARD.

 

The Subdivision and Development Appeal Board is a Board established under Section 627 of the Municipal Government Act to receive and review appeals arising from decision made by the Development Authority. Employees of the Municipality, persons who carry Subdivision and Development powers or members of the Development Authority may not apply. This Committee does not meet on a regular basis, it operates on an “as required basis”.

 

Legislated Mandatory Training is required by Alberta Municipal Affairs before members can hear an appeal; a training session has been scheduled for October 16th, 2018 in Bonnyville, which successful applicants will be required to attend.
