Tim Smereka wins Elk Point Council seat
The unofficial by-election results are in and Tim Smereka has come out on top with 102 votes.
Of the 297 votes tallied, Smereka took 34 percent to claim the vacant seat.
The seat became vacant earlier in the year when Sherri Bower-Gagne resigned as Councillor after moving away from the community. At the time Bower-Gagne said it was a work-related.
Pending any changes in the official results, Smereka will be sworn in as Councillor for the Town of Elk Point at the Town’s next regular Council Meeting; June 25th.

- Tim Smereka 102 votes
- Jason Boorse 68 votes
- Sherry Oszust 67 votes
- Bernice Capjack 50 votes
- Henry Botting 10 votes
