Northern Lights Public Schools is pleased to announce that Kim MacLeod has been appointed as Principal of North Star Elementary School in Cold Lake.

“Kim is focused on building effective relationships with students, staff and parents to enhance the school culture,” said Superintendent Rick Cusson. “She also models and promotes effective instruction to enrich student learning.”

MacLeod is currently Assistant Principal at North Star, a position she has held since 2015. She joined Northern Lights seven years ago as the Assistant Principal and Grade 1 teacher at Ardmore School.

She was Principal of Ardmore School in 2014-2015 before moving to North Star.

“Over the past three years I have been blessed with the opportunity to become part of the North Star family,” said MacLeod. “I am now thrilled to take on this new adventure. I look forward to working with this amazing staff and families as well as welcoming the new families entering our building as first time North Star students.”
